Prep Time: 25 minutes

Servings: 6

Feast on this family-friendly charcuterie board this Valentine's Day. Grab your heart shape cookie cutters for fun and delicious heart shaped mini pizzas, PB&J mini sandwiches, cucumbers, salami, and cheese slices. Create roses by wrapping sandwich pepperoni slices and heart Caprese salad skewers by slicing grape tomatoes into hearts. Add a few sweets and fresh fruit and you have a festive board for lunch or afternoon grazing for the whole family.

Ingredients

Directions

Step 1

To make Heart Tomato Caprese Salad Skewers: Slice off the top of the tomatoes at a sharp angle. Slice mini mozzarella balls in half or cut small slices from a larger fresh mozzarella ball. Place 1/2 mozzarella ball on toothpick, add a small torn piece of fresh basil, two tomato slices fit together in heart shape, basil, and finish with remaining 1/2 mozzarella ball. Serve with a small dish of balsamic reduction sauce.

Step 2

Fold one slice of sandwich pepperoni in half. Tightly roll into spiral. Take another folded pepperoni and wrap around tightly on the outside of previous spiral. Repeat with 8-12 slices of pepperoni, depending on the size of rose you'd like. Pierce a toothpick horizontally at the bottom to secure. Cut exposed toothpick.

Step 3

To make Heart Shaped Pizzas: Preheat your oven to 400°F. Use a heart shaped cookie cutter to cut tortillas and mozzarella cheese. (We used a large heart cutter from Wilton Assortment box.) Use a mini heart-shaped cookie cutter for pepperoni hearts. (We used heart cutter from Wilton 6 Romantic Mini Cutters box.) Place tortilla hearts baking sheet and bake 8 minutes. Remove from oven. Place mozzarella cheese hearts on tortilla hearts. (The tortillas will have shrunk in size.) Top with pepperoni hearts. Bake another 3 minutes until cheese is melted. Once the heart-shaped tortillas have baked, place a slice of heart-shaped mozzarella cheese onto each tortilla and then 3 mini pepperonis. Return the topped tortillas to the oven and bake for about 5 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and starting to turn golden brown in spots.

Step 4

Use a heart shape cookie cutter to cut Colby cheese slices (or your favorite) and salami into hearts. (We used a small heart cutter from Wilton Assortment box.)

Step 5

Cut a seedless English cucumber into 1/4" slices. Use a cookie cutter to make heart shapes out of the center. (We use the heart cutter from Wilton 6 Romantic Mini Cutters box.)

Step 6

To make PB&J Heart Sandwiches: Use a small heart cookie cutter to cut through slices of Acme Fresh Market White Bread (or your favorite). (We used a medium size crinkle heart from the Wilton Assortment box.) Spread peanut butter on heart shaped bread. Spread jam and top with remaining heart shaped piece of bread.

Step 7

Assemble Family Valentine Charcuterie: Assemble as desired on your favorite serving tray. We placed savory 'adult' items on one side including pizzas, Caprese salad with balsamic reduction sauce on one side with PB&J, salami, cheese and Crav'n Entertainment Crackers on the other side. Fill in with fresh strawberries with chocolate sauce, Buckeye style Acme Fresh Market Popcorn, cucumber hearts, raspberries, festive candy like M&Ms, and finish with Sweet P's Bake Shop mini cupcakes.
