This Habanero Burger is spicy! We use Try Me Sunshine Habanero Sauce in the burgers and a special spicy sauce for an unforgettable flavor. This burger is full of flavor, served on a pretzel bun with bacon, lettuce, and tomato.

Directions

Step 1

Divide bacon into equal portions, then chop half of it. Add all chopped bacon to skillet and cook until crisp, about 6-8 minutes. Remove, and drain on paper towels and set aside. Add remaining bacon slices to skillet and cook until crisp, about 6-8 minutes. Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels, reserving strips for finished burgers.

Step 2

Add 1 lb ground beef, cooked chopped bacon, 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce, 1.5 Tbsp Try Me Habanero Sauce, and salt & pepper to taste into a medium-size bowl. Mix with your hands until everything is well-combined. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into burger patties (approx. 1 inch thick).

Step 3

Heat skillet over medium-low heat. Cook beef patties for 3-4 minutes on each side, until internal temperature reaches 160°F. Set aside.

Step 4

Combine ⅓ cup mayo, ⅓ cup sour cream, 2 Tbsp. lemon juice, 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce, ¼ tsp. garlic powder, and a Simply Salt and Pepper (as desired) together in a small bowl and mix until well-blended. Refrigerate until ready to use.

Step 5

Assemble burgers with bottom bun, lettuce, 2 bacon strips, tomato, burger patty, Spicy Sauce, blue cheese crumbles (optional), and top bun.

Cook's Notes

You may cook the burgers on the grill, cooking times will vary depending on the type of grill used. A safe temperature for ground beef is 160°F. To spice the burger up more, add .5 Tbsp Try Me Habanero sauce to the burger or spicy sauce. Leftover spicy sauce may be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
