Chicken Bundles

Chicken Bundles are filled with hot bubbly, creamy chicken filling and surrounded by a flaky golden dough pocket. Kids can help prepare this easy recipe and love the flavor. They are delicious served hot alongside mashed potatoes and gravy and a vegetables. Leftovers are delicious as a cold sandwich.

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350° F.

Step 2

Cook cubed chicken in skillet.

Step 3

Beat cream cheese, milk, salt, pepper, and parsley together in larger bowl. (Older kids can help!)

Step 4

Stir in chicken, celery, and onions. (Kids can help!)

Step 5

In 12 rectangles, (4 from each tube) place on greased sheet, press perforations together. (Kids can help!)

Step 6

Spoon 1/3 cup of chicken mixture onto each dough square. (Kids can help!)

Step 7

Fold edge of dough over top the mixture, pinch to seal. (Kids can help!)

Step 8

Brush with melted margarine. (Older kids can help!)

Step 9

Sprinkle the tops with bread crumbs. (Kids can help!)

Step 10

Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes.

Cook's Notes

Families love this recipe. Expect adults to eat two chicken bundles and kids to eat one when served with additional sides. For the ultimate comfort food experience, serve with mashed potatoes and gravy and top the chicken bundles with gravy too. Leftovers are good heated up or served cold. It makes a delicious chicken salad type sandwich and easy to pack for lunch or picnics. You can use curly or flat leaf parsley or even cilantro. In a pinch, you can used dried parsley flakes too. Use any flavor seasoned bread crumbs you would like or crush snack crackers instead.
